Program schedule subject to change

"Writing on the Air."

Who we are.
We are a group of volunteers who produce a weekly radio show about writing--as it is broadly defined. We broadcast on 91.7 FM KOOP in Austin, Texas on Saturdays from 4:00 to 4:30.

How to contact us.
We appreciate hearing from our listeners and prospective guests. Please contact us at WritingontheAir@hotmail.com.

How to become a guest.
Send a short paragraph about what you want to be interviewed about and how it is different or unique, a short biography, and a complete bibliography of your previous works. We keep your information for a year, so if your contact information changes please be sure to let us know. Contact us at WritingontheAir@hotmail.com

The collective meets every month and plans its schedule out ahead two months at a time. So, if you have a specific air date in mind, you need to contact us two months prior to that date and before the second Saturday of that month.  You should also have a subject line that reads "prospective guest" and then the date you want.  If you have no preference for a date say "Date Open."  Please do not send pictures, as our space is limited.  Please note that you may not be contacted right away but that does not mean that you will not be contacted a few months later.

Ideas for new shows (including those received via the inbox) are officially discussed at our meeting held on the third Saturday of each month. A new show idea cannot become a scheduled show with an air date until the collective has had a chance to discuss the idea and decide on specific dates and programs.

Thank you for listening to Writing on the Air.
