Diane Fanning Diane Fanning has exploded on to the true crime writing scene. Her first true crime book, Through the Window: The Terrifying True Story of Cross-Country Killer Tommy Lynn Sells, has been a huge seller for a first time writer in this genre. It has also generated a lot of interest in the press and on television shows, most recently on a Crimetime episode that questions whether or not an innocent woman is in jail for a crime committed by Sells—Sells confessed to Diane that he was responsible for this murder. After reading this book, you’ll never look at carnival people or people holding up signs asking for money the same way again. Diane followed this book up with the compelling story in her newest book Into the Water about a young woman who is found in the street screaming with handcuffs still on her wrists. She leads authorities to the last man they would ever suspect as a multi-state serial killer. Diane's next book, Written in Blood, is scheduled for release in February 2005. It is based on the case of Michael Peterson, the novelist found guilty of murdering his wife in his million-dollar mansion. She is currently working on a true crime project about the death of Susan McFarland, a Southwestern Diane is also working with her agent on the development and marketing of a fictional mystery series. Her first book was a quirky tale about a female psychologist who battled her inner demons to eliminate a new form of dependency in society.
