HOW TO JOIN HCCO
and the HCCO Auxiliary

If you want to participate in the Orchestra on a long term basis, a year or greater, then contact HCCO Director of Music, Dr. Thomas Rainey. Some Sections currently have openings. Other Sections need to be strengthened with a stronger lead player. Some Sections have student musicians who will be leaving within a year or two. Other Sections need a standby reserve player to step up when a regular player gets sick or is not able to make a concert. Dr Rainey will be able to tell you how or when you would be able to join in. As stated in our Bylaws, the Orchestra was founded to provide dedicated amateur musicians the opportunity to perform in a professional concert environment. The Orchestra requires long term dedication to learn the repertoire of music and to effectively play within the musical blending of the parts as laid out by Dr. Rainey.

Annual dues are $20.00 payable on September 1 of each year. Youth musicians under the age of 18 shall pay dues of $10.00. Total dues are not to exceed $30.00 from a family.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for additional information about the Hill Country Community Orchestra.

HCCO AUXILIARY

Two years ago, a group of musicians got together with the goal of forming an orchestra in Williamson County. Numerous practices under the direction of Dr Thomas Rainey have helped 60 volunteer musicians bring the orchestra to life. The musicians spend hours each week to perfect the playing of the pieces. But their effort is just part of the task of fully developing an orchestra.

Without support from a broader segment of the civic-minded citizens of Williamson County, the glorious role that a symphony orchestra can provide to the fine arts environment will be diminished. An orchestra and the ensembles that will flourish within its musicaians can bring beauty to children, comfort to the aged, majesty to the religious seasons, and pure joy for all.

The Hill Country Community Orchestra needs you, those who enjoy our music, to join with us as we develop our orchestra. We need your moral support, a small amount of your time and a wee bit of your money. Please consider joining our AUXILIARY.
