Banderacom to adopt Intel InfiniBand Target Transport Services InterfaceAustin, Texas - August 23, 2000 - Banderacom, Inc.(formerly INH Semiconductor), an InfiniBand semiconductor company, today announced it will be utilizing the Applications Programming Interface (API) specified as part of the Intel InfiniBand Target Transport Service (TTS) Program. The TTS is a suite of software elements, such as Intel-developed code, that provide channel adapter vendors with the same software interfaces utilized by Intel. "By collaborating on a common API, Banderacom, Intel, and other InfiniBand chip suppliers will enable customers and software developers to begin developing software immediately that will be compatible with different InfiniBand devices as they become available," said Eric Johnson, president and CEO of Banderacom. "As an early developer of InfiniBand silicon, we expect this will help our customers get their products to market more quickly." "The work between Banderacom, Intel, and other InfiniBand technology providers is essential to the rapid broad deployment of the InfiniBand protocol," said Jim Pappas, Director of Initiative Marketing for Intel's Fabric Components Division. "By utilizing standard software and common interfaces, Banderacom can focus on getting silicon quickly developed and to market," said Jonathan Eunice, research director of IT analyst firm Illuminata, Inc.
