InfiniBand Silicon Leader, Banderacom, Adds VP of Engineering To Lead InfiniBand Technology Development
Industry Veteran Will Propel Technology Leader Ahead of Competitors


Austin, Texas - January 17, 2001 - Banderacom, Inc., a leading fabless InfiniBand™ semiconductor company, today announced the hiring of semiconductor industry veteran Terry Hulett as vice president of engineering. In this new role, Hulett will oversee the execution of all technology research and development, managing the expansion of Banderacom's product development organization.

Hulett brings 20 years of engineering experience developing microprocessors and related technologies. Before joining Banderacom, Hulett was vice president of research and development for Austin-based Si Solutions, Inc. Prior to this, he held key positions at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Motorola Semiconductor, leading several microprocessor development teams. At AMD, Hulett served as director of engineering, product line manager, design manager and design engineering supervisor. At Motorola Semiconductor, Hulett was a circuit design project leader.

In addition, one of Banderacom's founding team members, Eric Johnson, has been named vice president of business development. InfiniBand technology is a high-performance channel-based semiconductor architecture that provides increased scalability and reliability for servers and other Internet infrastructure equipment. Using a packet-based switching fabric, InfiniBand technology is expected to meet the need for faster, less congested and more reliable data transport through the Internet.
